Salon Mazal, Social activism center in Tel Aviv, Israel
Salon Mazal was an activism center in Tel Aviv with a lending library, bookstore, and spaces for community gatherings. It featured a vegan cafe and room for various events and discussions.
The center was founded in 2001 and moved several times before settling on Yitzhak Sadeh Street. It closed in 2012 after more than a decade of activities.
The space was known for its focus on environmental issues, women's rights, and animal protection. Visitors could participate in meetings and workshops that centered on these topics.
Access was open to all visitors without entry fees. The center was supported through voluntary donations and run collectively by regular volunteers.
The center also served as a meeting place for Arabic language teaching and displayed artwork from migrant workers. It organized alternative summer camp programs.
