Bhagatrav

Bhagatrav is an archaeological site in Hansot featuring stone structure remains, pottery shards, and ancient trade goods near the Arabian Sea coast. The excavation area displays the material remains of an ancient settlement spread across the ground in distinct layers.

The site was an important settlement of the Indus Valley civilization and was scientifically investigated and excavated. The discoveries show that this place was part of a large trade network that spread far across the region.

The artifacts discovered here reveal the craftsmanship of former residents through lead items, stone beads, and evidence of glazed pottery production. These objects show how people at this location developed skilled techniques in their daily work.

The area floods for eight months of the year due to backwater and river overflow from the Kim River, which limits access to the site. Planning a visit during the drier months makes exploration of the grounds possible.

This location is one of the southernmost points of settlements from this ancient civilization in the country. This distant position shows how far the trade routes and connections of this culture extended across the land.
