National Salt Satyagraha Memorial, Independence memorial in Dandi, India.

The National Salt Satyagraha Memorial features a 40-meter steel monument shaped like two hands holding a glass cube that represents a salt crystal.

The memorial stands at the location where Mahatma Gandhi concluded the Salt March in 1930, marking a turning point in India's independence movement.

The memorial includes 24 narrative murals and 80 life-sized bronze statues depicting Gandhi and the marchers who participated in the Salt Satyagraha.

Visitors can access the memorial daily from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with entry fees ranging from free for children under 5 to 100 rupees for international tourists.

The memorial operates entirely on solar power through 40 solar trees and includes an artificial lake filled with treated rainwater for salt production demonstrations.
