Yezidabad castle

Yezidabad is a pre-medieval archaeological site in Nakhchivan with fortress walls built from stone and mud bricks. The structure sits on elevated ground and displays the remains of a fortified complex with defensive features spread across the surrounding terrain.

The fortress was built during the reign of a Sassanid king and served as a strategic military outpost in the region. It maintained this role until the mid-7th century, when political circumstances changed fundamentally.
