Wakala, Steel roller coaster at Bellewaerde, Belgium
The Wakala roller coaster stretches over 660 meters of track with two lift hills and reaches speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour.
Bellewaerde park invested 7.5 million euros in the construction of Wakala, making it their largest attraction investment since 1999.
The roller coaster design incorporates elements inspired by the Kwakwakaʼwakw indigenous people of the Canadian Pacific Northwest, including trains styled as dugout canoes.
Each of the three trains contains ten cars arranged in single rows of two seats, accommodating twenty riders per departure with individual safety lap bars.
The track features a vertical spike element where riders experience a rollback moment before continuing their journey through twists and airtime hills.
