Ashbridge's Bay, Natural bay in Toronto, Canada
The waterfront area extends along Lake Shore Boulevard beside Woodbine Beach, featuring a 3-kilometer boardwalk and the Martin Goodman Trail.
Named after Sarah Ashbridge, a British loyalist from Philadelphia, the bay covered five square kilometers of marsh on the Don River delta until 1912.
The bay area maintains multiple marinas where residents participate in water activities while the surrounding park hosts community sports and gatherings.
Visitors access various recreational facilities including volleyball courts, soccer fields, skateboard park, and designated fishing spots throughout the waterfront area.
The 1912 land reclamation project by Toronto Harbour Commission represented the largest engineering undertaking in North America during that period.
