ClubONE Riviera, Cantonese restaurant in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong.
ClubONE Riviera is a Cantonese restaurant housed in a granite building shaped like a ship along the shore of the Shing Mun River with three floors. The spaces include dining areas and separate event halls that accommodate larger gatherings.
The restaurant opened in 1988 on the site of a former floating establishment that operated from 1963 until moving to Guangzhou in 1984. This relocation of its predecessor led to the creation of the current location.
The kitchen serves classic Cantonese dim sum and seafood, reflecting cooking traditions of the region. These dishes show what local families value in their everyday dining.
The building sits on support beams above the river at the junction of Siu Lek Yuen Road and Tai Chung Kiu Road. Inside you will find ample space across different areas, making it easy to locate a suitable spot for your meal.
The building could not float on the water because regulations prevent vessels from being stationed on the river. Yet the architecture keeps the ship shape, creating an unusual structure above the water.
