The Heung Yee Kuk New Territories Building stands at 30 On Muk Street in Shek Mun, Sha Tin, on a 40,000 sq ft site. The three-storey block, designed by the Shang Cheuk Kei Architects firm, follows the model of a southern Chinese clan mansion, with a three-bay layout of inner and outer levels. Its floor area exceeds 100,000 sq ft and holds a 1,225-seat grand theatre, a 213-seat recital hall, an exhibition hall, meeting rooms and activity rooms.

In March 2004, Heung Yee Kuk chairman Lau Wong-fat proposed a new headquarters at Shek Mun, Sha Tin. In November 2005 the Executive Council approved a 4,240-square-metre commercial site on a 50-year private treaty grant for a nominal HK$1,000. Groundbreaking followed on 16 November 2006, and the building opened on 29 June 2011.

The building functions as a gathering place where representatives from village communities meet to discuss local affairs and development. It is where residents bring concerns specific to their neighborhoods and work toward solutions affecting their region.

The building stands at 30 On Muk Street in Shek Mun, on the bank of the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin, and is served by Shek Mun station on the Ma On Shan line.
