Sai Lam Temple

Sai Lam Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary in Sha Tin housing multiple shrines, statues, and religious objects throughout its grounds. Much of the complex also functions as a columbarium where cremated remains of the deceased are stored.

The temple was founded in 1923 and preserves much of its original architectural character to this day. Since its establishment, it has remained a central religious institution serving the Sha Tin area.

The temple reflects local Buddhist devotion, with visitors coming to meditate and participate in ceremonies throughout the year. The shrines and their decorations show how this faith remains woven into the daily life of the community.

The temple is located in a central residential area and easily accessible by public transportation. Visitors should dress respectfully when entering the grounds out of consideration for the sacred space.
