Lindencorso, Commercial complex at Unter den Linden, Berlin, Germany
Lindencorso is an office building at the corner of Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse in central Berlin-Mitte. The eight-story structure has a light sandstone facade, black marble entrance portals, and floors divided between offices, retail spaces, and apartments.
The site previously held Cafe Bauer, Berlin's first Viennese coffee house, which opened in 1877. The current building was constructed between 1994 and 1997, taking the place of that historic cafe.
The DRIVE Volkswagen Group Forum within the building presents exhibitions about electric mobility and sustainable transport solutions to the public.
The building stands at the junction of two of Berlin's best-known streets, making it easy to reach on foot from many points in the city center. Keep in mind that most floors are used as offices and are not open to the general public.
From the upper floors of the building, there is a direct line of sight to the Brandenburg Gate at the end of Unter den Linden. This view is unusually close and unobstructed because the building sits along the same straight boulevard leading to the gate.
