Werner-Alfred-Bad, Indoor swimming pool and architectural monument in Hegelallee, Potsdam, Germany
The Werner-Alfred-Bad features an oval swimming pool with 216 square meters of water surface within its Jugendstil architectural design elements.
Built in 1913 by architect Paul Otto August Baumgarten, the facility was funded by Käthe Pietschker in memory of her son, Werner Alfred Pietschker.
The building served as the primary location for school swimming lessons in Potsdam until the 1970s when the Brauhausberg swimming hall opened.
Following renovations in 2009, the facility now operates as a health center offering physiotherapy, ergotherapy, and water gymnastics programs.
Adjacent to the main building stands a restored 1915 pavilion that once served as a water dispensary with high-backed benches for visitors.
