Parc naturel régional des Caps et Marais d'Opale

The park encompasses 132,507 hectares of diverse landscapes, from coastal cliffs to inland marshes, between the English Channel and North Sea.

The park emerged in March 2000 through the merger of two existing parks: Boulonnais and Audomarois, building upon conservation efforts since 1986.

The park maintains traditional countryside cafes through the 'estaminet randonnée' label, preserving local village commerce along hiking routes.

Visitors can access 1,700 kilometers of marked trails throughout the park, with information available at the main office in Le Wast.

The park contains eighty percent of Nord Pas-de-Calais biodiversity and includes the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Audomarois marshlands.
