Mont Géroux, Mountain summit in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, France.
Mont Géroux is a mountain summit in the Beaufortain range standing at about 2,288 meters (7,507 feet). From the top you can see across the Arve Valley and toward the Val Montjoie region.
This summit forms part of the northern Beaufortain Massif, which has shaped how mountain communities developed over time. The landscape gradually transformed from traditional pastoral use into a center for winter and summer outdoor activities.
The summit represents an integral part of the Alpine heritage where traditional mountain farming practices continue alongside modern winter sports activities.
The summit area is accessible by the Mont Joly chairlift, which connects to the larger Evasion Mont-Blanc ski network. The area offers skiing in winter and hiking during warmer months.
This peak sits along a ridge that includes Mont Joly, with ski runs on the western slopes and marked trails available in summer. Its position makes it a junction point connecting different parts of the wider Evasion domain.
