Zone 7 of Milan

Zone 7 is an administrative district in western Milan that encompasses several residential neighborhoods including Baggio, De Angeli, and San Siro. The area combines housing with parks, green spaces, and sports facilities that serve the local population.

Milan's administrative structure was fundamentally reorganized in 1999, reducing the original twenty zones into nine larger districts. Zone 7 was created from this reform and has managed local services since that change.

The Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in San Siro is home to two major football clubs that play their home matches here. For many residents, this venue shapes the rhythm of the district and brings people together around the sport.

The district is managed by a municipal council that oversees schools, parks, and local services throughout the area. Visitors can use various bus stops and metro stations distributed across the zone for getting around.

Parco delle Cave is a former quarry transformed into a public park featuring four artificial lakes and extensive green areas. This site shows how an abandoned industrial location has become a popular recreation area for the surrounding neighborhoods.
