San Filippo Neri in Eurosia, Modern Catholic church in Ostiense district, Rome, Italy.
San Filippo Neri in Eurosia is a modern church with a prominent brick facade and a side bell tower on Via delle Sette Chiese. Inside stands a Wilhelm Sauer organ from 1897 that was moved to this location in 1965.
Construction took place between 1952 and 1955 following architect Pier Luigi Maruffi's designs with financial support from American donors Tommaso and Irene Bradley. The project emerged during a period when new parish churches were built in expanding Roman neighborhoods.
The apse displays murals created by Amedeo Angilella in 1977 showing Mary as Mater Ecclesiae and scenes from Saint Philip Neri's life. These paintings tell stories of Mary's connection to the church and key moments from the saint's history.
The church offers regular Catholic services and is typically open to visitors during daylight hours. Located in the Ostiense district, it is easily accessible by public transportation.
Above the portico runs a Gospel inscription that welcomes visitors with words of comfort and rest. This biblical message was deliberately positioned to connect the building's physical form with its spiritual purpose.
