Izu-Kōgen Station is a railway station located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture. It has one island platform and one side platform connected by a footbridge that serve three railway tracks.
The station began operations on December 10, 1961, establishing rail connections across the Izu Peninsula. It became an important stop within the regional railway network of Shizuoka Prefecture.
The station belongs to the distinguished 100 stations of Chūbu collection, representing the railway heritage of central Japan's transportation system.
The station sits roughly 16 kilometers from Ito and serves about 1,500 passengers daily on average. Staff members are present to assist visitors with their travel needs.
