Ōmachi Dam, Gravity dam in Ōmachi, Japan.
The concrete structure rises 107 meters high and stretches 338 meters across the Takase River, containing 766,000 cubic meters of material.
The construction of the dam, completed in 1985, marked a major development in infrastructure for the Nagano Prefecture water management system.
The dam interior includes an inspection gallery where visitors observe the engineering methods used in Japanese hydroelectric infrastructure development.
The facility maintains regular visiting hours from Tuesday to Friday, with tours available between 9:00-11:30 and 13:00-16:00, except during holidays.
The reservoir reaches an elevation of 898 meters and features four radial gates capable of managing water flow at 1,910 cubic meters per second.
