大增鍾乳洞, Limestone cave in Okutama, Japan.
Daizoukaki Cave is a limestone cave in Okutama that stretches about 45 meters through accessible chambers with white crystalline formations. Stalactites in various growth stages hang from the passage ceilings throughout the system.
The cave was discovered in 1982 when the property owner unexpectedly encountered it during construction work. Since then it has been developed as a private geological attraction open to visitors.
The site serves as an educational facility where students and researchers examine geological processes and limestone formation patterns.
Visits require advance arrangements directly with the owner's family, who provide guided tours of the chambers. Photography inside is not permitted to protect the delicate mineral deposits.
The cave maintains cool temperatures year-round and features underground water that flows through small mineral pools within the chambers. These stable conditions allow the crystalline formations to grow continuously.
