Fujizakura Country Club, Golf course in Fujikawaguchiko, Japan
The Fujizakura Country Club features an 18-hole championship course spanning 7,437 yards with bentgrass greens at an elevation of 1,000 meters near Mount Fuji.
The golf course, designed by Kazuya Shimura, opened in October 1975 and has since hosted numerous editions of the prestigious Fujisankei Classic tournament.
The clubhouse incorporates traditional Japanese architectural elements, including irimoya, hogyou, and kirizuma roof styles, reflecting the cultural heritage of the Heian period.
The facility maintains a strict dress code, provides full caddie services with golf carts, and includes practice ranges plus conference rooms that accommodate up to 100 people.
The course produces its own internationally recognized craft beer, Fujizakura Kogen Beer, available for members and guests in the clubhouse restaurant.
