Fuji Lakeside Country Club

Fuji Lakeside Country Club is an 18-hole golf course set within a forest of Japanese red pines near Mount Fuji. The layout spans 6,816 yards with bentgrass greens and a par-72 design.

The club opened in 1960 and became one of the first golf facilities in the Narusawa region of Yamanashi Prefecture. This establishment reflected a growing interest in golf as a leisure activity in post-war Japan.

The course respects the surrounding landscape by positioning holes to frame views of Mount Fuji throughout the round. Players experience the terrain and trees as integral parts of the game rather than obstacles to overcome.

The facility offers 18 practice tees, bunkers, and putting greens where you can work on your swing. Operations run from March through December, allowing players to visit during most of the year.

The mountain's position influences strategy on several holes since players must account for its location when approaching certain greens. Few courses offer this kind of geographical orientation that becomes part of the playing tactics.
