Stellar Place Sapporo is a modern shopping complex in Chuo-ku with multiple levels and glass-fronted facade, combining retail spaces, dining establishments, and entertainment venues. The structure organizes shopping, dining, and leisure activities in one location with clear floor-by-floor layouts.

Stellar Place Sapporo was built as a station building through the redevelopment of the former ground-level station site after the elevation of Sapporo Station's tracks. In 2005 the operator, Sapporo Station South Exit Development, merged with the companies running Apia, Esta and Paseo and was renamed Sapporo Station General Development.

The name Stellar Place comes from the large clock on the facade: the Hoshi no Ookei (Star Clock), made by Hokkaido-born sculptor and designer Takenobu Igarashi, is driven by solar panels fixed below its dial. The complex is split into a Center block between the station's East and West Avenues and an East block beyond the East Avenue, with the rooftop plaza Sora no Hiroba Stella 9 on the ninth floor.

The complex connects directly to JR Sapporo Station through indoor passages, making it easy to reach from trains and buses. Visit in the morning or outside peak hours if you prefer less crowded shopping conditions.

The clock on the facade is the Hoshi no Ootokei (Great Star Clock), made by Hokkaido-born sculptor and designer Takenobu Igarashi. Solar panels fixed below the clock on the outer wall power it. The clock sits at the centre of the front facade.
