Yodogawa Steel Works, 大阪府大阪市に本社のある日本の鉄鋼メーカー
Yodogawa Steel Works is a steel production facility in Chūō-ku, Osaka, focused on manufacturing steel sheets used in construction and building projects. The site features large industrial buildings with production lines, stacked metal materials, and machinery areas that operate continuously throughout the day.
The works originated as part of Yodoko company, founded in 1935, and has focused on steel production ever since. Over decades, the facility expanded its operations and has consistently supplied Japan's construction industry with reliable steel products.
The facility is generally not open to visitors as it is an active production area with strict safety requirements. You can observe the plant from outside and learn from signage about how the steel manufacturing process works.
The parent Yodoko company also owns the Yodoko Guest House, a building designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright that is now an important cultural landmark. This connection shows how a steel manufacturer is simultaneously involved in preserving a major example of modern design.
