Conrad Osaka, hotel in Ōsaka, Japan
Conrad Osaka is a hotel located on the upper floors of the Nakanoshima Festival West Tower, with most guest rooms on the 40th to 44th floors. The rooms are spacious and feature modern amenities such as round bathtubs, separate showers, and windows overlooking the city, while the hotel includes four restaurants, a spa, a 20-meter swimming pool, and a fitness center.
The hotel opened in 2017 and is one of two Conrad properties in Japan, with another located in Tokyo. The building was designed with the concept of a villa in the sky, intended to create a private retreat far from the busy city streets below.
The name Nakanoshima means middle island, referring to its location between two rivers. The neighborhood around the hotel serves as a cultural hub, with art museums, galleries, and local restaurants serving dishes rooted in the area's history as a warehouse district during the Edo period.
Higobashi Station sits directly below the hotel, providing quick access to popular city destinations such as Namba and Dotonburi in just three stops. The property is conveniently positioned between the busy Kita-Umeda shopping district and is approximately 15 minutes from Osaka Airport and less than an hour from Kansai Airport.
The hotel surprises guests with small gifts such as a teddy bear with the hotel logo and a rubber duck left on beds as playful extras. The lobby features a large bubble sculpture by Japanese artist Kohei Nawa that immediately captures attention.
