The Teiseki Building is an office structure made of reinforced concrete with five above-ground floors and a basement located near Niigata Station. The building included extensive parking facilities and was equipped with elevators and around-the-clock security personnel.
The building was constructed in 1961 following the relocation of Niigata Station. It served as a major commercial center for several decades before closing in 2021.
The building represents the post-war architectural development of Niigata City, reflecting the modernization period of Japanese regional business centers.
The building offered parking spaces directly on site for visitors and workers. Its location near the station area made it easy to access by public transportation.
The structure underwent significant renovations in 2002 and seismic reinforcement in 2006, housing up to 39 different companies at its peak in 1996.
