Sobaeksan National Park

Sobaeksan National Park covers mountainous terrain across two provinces and features Birobong Peak, the highest summit in the area at over 1,400 meters. The park contains multiple trails and natural habitats for visitors to explore.

The government designated this mountain area as the country's eighteenth national park in 1987 to protect its natural resources. This decision marked an important effort to preserve the region's environment.
