Dauytbek Mausoleum

Dauytbek Mausoleum is a burial structure near Taraz built with burnt brick walls and two small towers at its corners. The rectangular building has doorways carved with Arabic text, and inside stands a stepped pyramid-shaped tombstone marking the burial place.

The structure was built near the burial place of a Mongol governor whose death occurred in the 13th century. The Arabic inscriptions on the interior tombstone record specific dates related to this person's passing.
