Beirut Terraces, 26-floor residential high-rise building in Minet El Hosn, Lebanon.
Beirut Terraces is a 26-story residential high-rise in Minet El Hosn distinguished by its stepped facade and extended terraces on each floor. The aluminum, concrete, and glass structure rises to approximately 120 meters and incorporates shade-providing overhangs on every level to manage sun exposure.
Construction began in 2011 under Herzog & de Meuron Architekten and was completed in 2017 with collaboration from MAN Enterprise. The project marked a significant moment in Beirut's architectural development, introducing new approaches to high-rise design in the region.
The building integrates Mediterranean design principles through its generous outdoor spaces and greenery spread across multiple levels. Visitors immediately notice how the terraces frame views of the city while creating private residential areas with vegetation.
The building is located on Fouad Najjar Street in the bustling port district and accessible through multiple entry points. Units vary in size, and visitors should note this is a private residential area where access may be limited to common areas or organized viewings.
The facade features approximately 30,000 mirror-like facets that reflect light differently throughout the day. This innovative approach creates a constantly changing visual connection between the structure and its surrounding urban environment.
