Juárez Municipality

Juárez Municipality is an administrative area in northern Chihuahua centered on Ciudad Juárez and spread across a large territory. It encompasses numerous smaller towns and settlements that together form the region.

The municipality was established in 1826 and named after Benito Juárez, a significant Mexican president. Since its creation, the region has grown into one of northern Mexico's major administrative and economic centers.

The area has a strong cross-border identity visible in daily interactions and shared local celebrations with the Texas side. Visitors and residents experience a blend of Mexican and North American influences throughout the architecture, shops, and streets.
