Vavedenje Monastery

Vavedenje Monastery is an Orthodox sanctuary nestled in the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge featuring a church with a central dome. The interior displays an ornate iconostasis adorned with religious paintings depicting the Virgin Mary and Christ.

The monastery was built during the 16th century and survived prolonged Ottoman occupation. This history marks it as a place where Serbian Orthodox tradition endured through periods of foreign control.
