Located in the Ovčar-Kablar gorge, Sretenje Monastery stands on the bank of Western Morava River, featuring Serbian Orthodox architectural elements with wooden pillars.
The original monastery structure, first mentioned in 1525, was relocated from the opposite bank of Western Morava in 1910 due to railway construction.
The monastery belongs to the Eparchy of Žiča and maintains traditional Serbian Orthodox practices under the guidance of Bishop Hrizostom.
