Arshan, Mineral springs resort in Tunkinsky District, Russia
The settlement stands at 835 meters altitude near the Kyngyrga River, featuring multiple waterfalls within the snow-capped Sayan Mountain Range.
In 1920, after the liberation from White Cossacks, Arshan transformed into a medical facility for Red Army personnel, treating 320 patients that year.
The Khoymorski Datsan Bodhidharma Temple presents Buddhist traditions within the resort grounds, reflecting the regional religious practices.
Two sanatoriums, Sayan and Arshan, provide medical treatments using thermal waters containing carbon, silicates, sulfates, and sulfide silt mud.
