Church of St Olaf

St Olaf's Church features traditional stone construction with a south window containing an etching of Napes Needle on Great Gable mountain.

The earliest documented evidence of a church at this location dates to 1550, though an earlier structure may have existed before this date.

The church maintains regular worship services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, connecting the local community through spiritual gatherings.

Visitors can access the church through maintained paths and sign the guest book, which recorded 12,500 visitors from 43 countries in 2019.

This structure holds the distinction of being England's smallest parish church, receiving its current name in 1977 through Reverend Raymond Bowers' Norwegian connections.
