Yewbarrow, Mountain summit in Lake District, England.
Yewbarrow rises to 628 meters above sea level, presenting a steep ridge formation that resembles an upturned boat when viewed from Wast Water.
The name Yewbarrow stems from the Old English words combining the presence of yew trees and the characteristic barrow shape of the mountain.
The summit forms part of the Bob Graham Round, a traditional fell running challenge that connects 42 peaks within the Lake District National Park.
The main ascent route starts at Overbeck Bridge, following the southwestern spine toward Bell Rib through a grade 1 scramble to reach the summit.
The mountain features two distinct high points: the main summit and Stirrup Crag, located half a mile north at 616 meters elevation.
