Immaculate Heart of Mary Church

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is a Catholic place of worship in Pittsburgh with two prominent domes and walls of gray and brown brick. Inside, you will find tall vaulted ceilings, decorated columns, and stone elements that echo Italian Renaissance churches.

Polish immigrants established the parish in 1897 as a place for their faith community. The building that stands today was constructed shortly after and blends Italian Renaissance design with the needs of a growing neighborhood.

The church represents the Polish faith and community that founded it more than a century ago. It has always served as a gathering place for worship and celebration, and you can still see people coming here to pray and mark important moments together.

The interior accommodates many visitors and is open to tourists when services are not taking place. When visiting, wear respectful clothing and speak softly to honor the sacred nature of the space.
