Petersen Events Center

Petersen Events Center sits on the University of Pittsburgh campus and serves as a multipurpose arena with space for roughly 12,500 visitors. It houses the Baierl Student Recreation Center, multiple fitness areas, an academic center for athletes, and rooms for different kinds of events.

The arena opened in 2002 after John and Gertrude Petersen provided major financial backing for construction. Their contribution made it possible to build this modern facility on campus.
