Meadow Lake Wind Farm is a large power generation facility in Benton County featuring approximately 414 wind turbines spread across around 26,000 acres. The installation produces electricity for the regional power grid using contemporary turbine technology.
Construction began in April 2009 with an initial phase installing 121 Vestas turbines that started operating in October that year. The facility was subsequently expanded as part of the region's growing energy infrastructure.
The wind farm provides an additional income source for farmers while they continue their traditional agricultural operations on the same land. This arrangement allows farming and clean energy production to coexist in the same area.
