Mount Zion Temple, Reform synagogue in Saint Paul, US

Mount Zion Temple stands on Summit Avenue with architectural features that combine traditional Jewish elements and modernist structural design principles.

Eight German-Jewish families established Mount Zion Hebrew Association in 1856, creating the first Jewish congregation in Minnesota before the territory gained statehood.

The synagogue maintains regular religious services, educational programs, and hosts community events that connect Jewish traditions with contemporary social initiatives.

The synagogue offers live streaming capabilities for all services, programs, and ceremonies, enabling remote participation for those unable to attend in person.

Renowned architect Erich Mendelsohn designed the current synagogue building, completed in 1954, representing his final architectural project before his death.
