North Terminal Garage

North Terminal Garage is a three-story concrete building at 600 Commercial Street designed in Early Commercial architectural style. The structure continues to function as a parking facility in the North End neighborhood.

The garage was built in 1925 by the Aberthaw Company with design by Little & Russell. It became known after a major armored car robbery occurred nearby in 1950.

The building shows how cities adapted to cars in the early 20th century. It reflects a moment when parking spaces became a necessary part of urban planning.
