Pico Peak, Mountain summit in Rutland County, United States
Pico Peak rises to an elevation of 1,967 feet with 57 trails spread across its slopes, connecting multiple skiing sectors through varied terrain.
The mountain began operations in 1937 with a 1,200-foot rope tow system, marking the establishment of one of Vermont's first commercial ski resorts.
Andrea Mead-Lawrence, daughter of the mountain's founding family, earned two gold medals in skiing at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo.
The mountain operates from Thursday through Monday during winter season, with seven lifts including two high-speed detachable quad systems serving different areas.
The resort introduced the first T-bar lift in the United States in 1940, setting a milestone in American ski resort development.
