Royal C. Peabody Estate

The Royal C. Peabody Estate is a Tudor Revival mansion in Lake George, New York, built with stuccoed walls and rough-cut granite on its lower level, set on a raised foundation. The house sits on about 5 acres with direct access to the lake.

The estate was built around 1905 for the founder of Brooklyn Edison and reflected the trend of wealthy industrialists building grand summer homes on the lake. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
