United States Custom House and Post Office

The United States Custom House and Post Office was a granite and iron building featuring multiple stories with high ceilings throughout its interior spaces. The structure contained distinct areas for customs operations, postal services, and federal courts within a single comprehensive facility.

Construction was completed in 1885 and the building served downtown Cincinnati with federal customs and court services for over five decades. As government needs evolved, the structure eventually made way for newer federal facilities in the city.
