White Grass is a cross-country ski center in Canaan Valley with about 50 kilometers of groomed trails across varied terrain. The trails run at elevations between roughly 3,200 and 4,400 feet in the High Allegheny Mountains.
The site was originally built as Weiss Knob Ski Area in 1959 before being converted to a cross-country skiing center in 1979. This transformation made it one of the oldest facilities of its kind in the country.
