Myron and Sonya Glassberg Family Conservation Area, Conservation area in Jefferson County, Missouri
The 429-acre conservation area contains forests of oak, hickory, maple, and cedar trees within the Meramec River watershed.
The conservation area opened in 2012 through a donation from the Glassberg Family and support from the Forest Legacy Program.
A limestone monument near the parking area, designed by Gail Cassilly, honors the Glassberg family's environmental preservation contribution.
The site operates daily from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a parking lot located on Route FF, 0.4 miles past John McKeever Road.
LaBarque Creek, flowing through the property, supports 42 fish species and stands as one of the highest quality streams near St. Louis.
