The Detroit Public Safety Headquarters is a large government building in Downtown Detroit that brings together police, fire, and emergency medical services under one roof. The building also houses training centers, administrative offices, a communications center, and a forensics laboratory.

The city purchased the former temporary casino building in 2010 and transformed it into a unified emergency services headquarters. This change brought multiple departments together in one location for the first time.

The building is easily accessible by public transportation, and the main entrance is reachable from Third Street. Keep in mind that access to certain areas may be restricted since this is an active government facility.

The building's original address was named after a highway, but it was later changed to Third Street. This renaming helped separate the location's identity from previous occupants.
