James Reed Building

The James Reed Building is a nine-story commercial structure on Sixth Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh covering approximately 17,000 square meters. After comprehensive renovation, it reopened in 2015 as a luxury hotel.

The building was constructed in 1902 and named after James H. Reed, an American judge. It served for many years as headquarters for a major law firm before changing hands later.

The building displays Beaux-Arts features that reflect early twentieth-century commercial architecture in Pittsburgh. These design elements continue to shape how the downtown area looks and feels.

The hotel is located in the city center and easily accessible on foot. Visitors can admire the architecture from the street and explore the historic surroundings.
