Union Trust Building, Historic office building in Downtown Pittsburgh, United States.
Union Trust Building is an office structure featuring Renaissance Revival design at 501 Grant Street in Downtown Pittsburgh. The building rises across 15 floors organized around a central rotunda topped by a large stained glass dome.
Industrialist Henry Clay Frick financed construction of this Flemish-Gothic structure in 1916 as a major investment. The project reflected Pittsburgh's growth during the industrial era and established the building as a landmark of downtown development.
The building houses artworks created by Pittsburgh artists displayed throughout its interior spaces. Visitors can encounter these pieces while moving through the corridors and offices, gaining insight into the local art scene.
The building's central rotunda is accessible from the ground level and easy to locate when entering. Ten elevators throughout the structure provide efficient movement between the many floors.
The interior carpeting displays a gradual color shift from blue tones on the ground floor to gold and amber hues at upper levels. This intentional design creates a subtle visual journey as visitors move upward through the building.
