Porcellian Club, Private club in Harvard Square, Cambridge, United States
The Porcellian Club occupies a building at 1324 Massachusetts Avenue, featuring a reception area, a bar, and a billiards room on multiple floors.
Founded in 1791 by thirty Massachusetts students who organized pig roasts as an alternative to dining hall meals at Harvard University.
Members of this men-only final club wear golden pig emblems on their watch chains and follow the motto 'Dum vivimus vivamus'.
The clubhouse maintains strict access policies, with only members permitted beyond the first floor of the Massachusetts Avenue building.
The club donated the McKean Gate to Harvard Yard in 1901, incorporating their boar emblem into this main entrance structure.
