Palacete Camelier, Historic mansion in Cidade Velha, Brazil

The three-story Palacete Camelier stands in the old town district of Belém, with its rear section facing directly toward Guajará Bay.

The property began as a Franciscan convent in the early 1700s before becoming a naval arsenal and later the residence of Charles Gustav Emil Müller.

Roberto Camelier, who grew up in this mansion, established the first radio station in the Amazon region, Radio Clube do Pará.

The building sits at 753 Dr. Assis Street in Cidade Velha, near the Atrium Hotel Quinta De Pedras, though its current state shows deterioration.

The mansion included a metalwork shop and private dock where ships underwent repairs during the Brazilian rubber boom period.
