The three-story Pinho Mansion, located at 586 Doutor Assis Street, exhibits classical architectural elements with ornate decorative tiles and Pompeiian mosaics throughout the structure.
Commander Antonio Jose de Pinho commissioned the construction of this residence in 1897, during the height of the Amazon rubber trade period in Belem.
The mansion served as a central gathering place for social and political events until 1930, reflecting the economic status of Belem's upper class during that era.
Following a restoration project completed in 2011 that cost R$7.8 million, the building now requires additional renovation work estimated at R$5 million.
The property features a belvedere and contains specific architectural elements that combine European influences with local Brazilian construction techniques of the late 1800s.
