El-Haramlek Palace is a royal residence in the Montaza district featuring two prominent towers with Italian Renaissance elements and long arcaded galleries that face the sea across multiple levels. The structure uses light-colored stone and feels spacious and open toward the water throughout its design.

King Fuad I commissioned the palace in 1925 as an expansion of the adjacent Montaza complex that already stood on the site. Its construction marked an important moment in Alexandria's development as a royal retreat.

The palace blends Italian and Ottoman architectural styles, reflecting historical connections between Egypt and Europe that shaped its design. Walking through its spaces, you see this cultural fusion expressed in columns, arches, and decorative details.

The grounds feature extensive gardens with clearly marked pathways that allow visitors to explore different areas at their own pace. Wear comfortable shoes since you will walk quite a bit to see all the sections.

The arcaded galleries are deliberately positioned to maximize sea views from nearly every point in the palace. This design choice shows how much the architect prioritized the waterfront setting.
